Bokaro: “Sama-Chakeva”, the most sacred festival of Mithilanchal of brother-sister affection celebrated with great pomp and show in Bokaro.
Later on, Sama-Chakeva was offered an emotional farewell with beautiful traditional songs Samdaon in accordance with Maithil custom during a grand celebration of the Sama-Chakeva festival that was held by Mithila Sanskritik Parishad at Mithila Academy Public School, Sector-4E.
The women performed the rituals of clay-made Sama-Chakeva. Following the tradition, women gathered with toys made of Sama-Chakeva, Satbhaiya, Brindavan, Chugla, Dholiya Bajniya, Ban Titir, Pandit and other idols and burnt the Chugla made of flax (patua). They were then immersed collectively.
The teachers of Mithila Academy Public School along with teachers Umesh Kumar Jha and Vishwanath Goswami, Kiran Mishra, Chairperson of Mithila Mahila Samiti along with Sheila Mishra, Manju Jha, Amita Jha, Poonam Mishra, Usha Jha, Nutan Jha, Dr Nirupama Jha, Jayanti Pathak, Kanchan Jha, Shikha Chowdhary, Indira Jha, Manju Kumar, Kumkum Jha, Binu Chowdhary, Madhubala Jha, Mamta Jha, Seema Jha, Priti Priya, Vandana Jha, Gudiya Jha, Madhu Thakur, Pinky Jha, Preeti Rai, Sujata Jha, Kiran Jha, Anisha Jha, Anupama, Bharti Jha and Munni Jha sang the songs of Sama-Chakeva festival.
Beside others, Nina Narayan, President Anil Kumar, Vice President Animesh Kumar Jha and Rajendra Kumar, General Secretary Avinash Kumar Jha, Mithila Academy Public School President Hari Mohan Jha, Vice President Jai Prakash Chaudhary, Secretary PK Jha Chandan, Joint Secretary Neeraj Chaudhary, Council Treasurer Pradeep Kumar Jha, Joint Secretary Samarendra Jha, Press Secretary Arun Pathak, Planning Secretary Mihir Kumar Jha ‘Raju’, Assistant Secretary Avinash Jha Avi, Sunil Kumar Chaudhary, Govind Kumar Jha, Gangesh Kumar Pathak, Dr U C Jha , Kamlesh Mishra, Pashupati Jha were present on the occasion.
