5040 candidates to appear in the CTET Exam in Bokaro on Sunday

Bokaro: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), organized by CBSE, is set to take place on August 20, 2023. A total of 10 examination centers have been established in the Bokaro district, where approximately 5040 candidates from various locations will appear for the exam.

The test, consisting of Paper-1 and Paper-2, will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon, and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. This means both papers will have a duration of two and a half hours.

Dr A. S. Gangwar, City Coordinator, CTET and Principal, Delhi Public School, Bokaro, informed that Bokaro is all set for the proper conduction of the examination. Besides DPS Bokaro Sector-4, the exam centers have been set up at various other schools, including Chinmaya Vidyalaya Sector-5, DAV Public School Sector-4, DAV Sector-6, GGPS Sector-5, MGM Higher Secondary School Sector-4, GGPS Chas, Sri Ayyappa Public School Sector-5, Crescent Public School Sector-6, and Holy Cross School, Railway Colony, Balidih.

Dr Gangwar highlighted that CTET is a national-level entrance examination conducted by CBSE to select qualified and skilled candidates for teaching positions in schools. The examination comprises two papers. Paper-1 is for candidates applying for teaching from classes I to V, while Paper-2 is for those applying for teaching from classes VI to VIII.

In Paper-1, questions from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-1 and Language-2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies will be asked. Each subject will have 30 questions, making a total of 150 questions. For Paper-2, questions will cover Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-1, Language-2, Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies/Social Science. During the inspection at the centers, strict adherence to all guidelines has been mandated.
