IIT ISM Launches Centennial Distinguished Speaker Series

Dhanbad: The Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) launched its Centennial Distinguished Speaker Series today with an insightful lecture by Vinay Ranjan, Director (Personnel & Industrial Relations) at Coal India Limited (CIL). Held at the Golden Jubilee Lecture Theatre, the event marked the beginning of celebrations for IIT ISM’s 100-year legacy.

Ranjan, an expert in business process restructuring and industrial transformation, delivered a lecture titled “Business Process Restructuring & Industrial Transformation,” addressing key challenges in today’s global business landscape.

He emphasized the importance of restructuring business processes and implementing innovative management practices to drive industrial growth and sustainable development.

The session was attended by prominent dignitaries including Professor Sukumar Mishra, Director of IIT ISM; Professor Dheeraj Kumar, Deputy Director; and faculty members from the Department of Management Studies and Industrial Engineering (DMSIE).

Ranjan, with over 29 years of experience in HR leadership roles, also shared his expertise in talent management, industrial relations, and change management.

An alumnus of INSEAD Business School, Ranjan has held significant roles at organizations like Reliance, JSW Group, and Tata Communications. Recognized by Forbes as one of India’s top 100 managers in 2021, his contributions to HR and industrial transformation were highly praised.

The Centennial Distinguished Speaker Series aims to inspire and engage the IIT ISM community by hosting thought leaders and experts, with Ranjan’s lecture setting a high standard for future sessions.
