Gaya: The Chaiti Shri Chitragupta Puja, along with a Mahasabha and community feast, was organized by the All India Kayastha Mahasabha (ABKAM) Gaya District Unit at Maitri Garden, Chandchaura Korla Ground in Gaya. The event, presided over by District President and former Deputy Mayor Dr. Akhouri Omkarnath alias Mohan Srivastava, saw participation from a large number of men and women from the Kayastha community.
The chief guest, ABKAM National President and former Home Minister Subodhkant Sahay, along with several prominent leaders, including State President Vinod Srivastava and Mayor Dr. Virendra Kumar alias Ganesh Paswan, highlighted the importance of unity within the community. They strongly advocated for sending Mohan Srivastava to the Assembly, urging the community to leverage their political influence and show their voting power.
During his speech, Subodhkant Sahay stressed the historic contributions of the Kayastha community to the nation, noting that despite their significant impact, there is currently a lack of Kayastha representation in central politics. He called for a political resurgence, emphasizing that the time had come for the community to reclaim its rightful place in the political landscape.
Other speakers, including Muzaffarpur Congress District President Mukul Srivastava and State President Vinod Srivastava, echoed the sentiment, urging the community to unite and support Mohan Srivastava’s candidacy in the upcoming elections. They advocated for a collective effort to ensure the success of Kayastha leaders in the political sphere, promising that if Mohan Srivastava defeated the incumbent MLA in Gaya Nagar Assembly, he could be a strong contender for a ministerial position.
The event also saw the participation of key community figures such as ABKAM General Secretary Bipin Kumar Sinha, Councilor Sanjay Kumar Sinha, and several others. The gathering concluded with a powerful message for the Kayastha community to come together and fight for their political future.
