Ranchi: As part of Coal India Limited’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Indian Institute of Coal Management (IICM) hosted a special lecture titled “Relevance of Myths in the Modern World” today. Eminent mythologist, author, and leadership consultant Shri Devdutt Patnaik delivered the session, captivating an audience comprising directors, senior officials, and faculty members from Coal India, CCL, CMPDIL, and IICM.
Through engaging storytelling, Patnaik linked ancient wisdom to contemporary leadership and management challenges, inspiring participants to reconsider the role of myths in today’s rapidly evolving world.
The event began with a formal welcome and lamp-lighting ceremony by Patnaik, CCL Directors Pawan Kumar Mishra and Harsh Nath Mishra, CVO Pankaj Kumar, and IICM Executive Director Kamakshi Raman.
The rendition of Coal India’s corporate song and the IICM theme song set a reflective tone for the session.
Telecast live at CCL’s Sangam Convention Hall, the lecture drew a large virtual and physical audience. A lively Q&A session followed, during which Patnaik’s insightful responses further enriched the experience.
