Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has married his longtime partner Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony held at his Pali Hill residence in Mumbai on Sunday, marking a new chapter in the actor’s personal life. The couple opted for a low-key, family-focused celebration attended only by close relatives and a handful of friends.
The marriage was solemnised through a private registered ceremony under the Special Marriage Act at Aamir Khan’s Bandra home, followed by a small gathering with family members. The actor had earlier described the event as a “gharelu shaadi” (home wedding), saying he wished to keep the occasion simple and sought only the blessings of his fans and well-wishers.
The wedding was attended by Aamir’s children—Junaid Khan, Ira Khan and Azad Rao Khan—as well as Gauri Spratt’s son from her previous marriage. Several close friends from the film industry and family members were also present, while the couple consciously avoided the grandeur typically associated with celebrity weddings.
Aamir Khan, 61, and Gauri Spratt made their relationship public in March 2025 during the actor’s 60th birthday celebrations. Although the two first met nearly 25 years ago, they reconnected later in life and eventually developed a relationship that culminated in marriage after more than two years together.
This is Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he shares a son. Despite their separations, Aamir has maintained cordial relationships with both former spouses and has frequently spoken about co-parenting and their extended family bond.
Images released after the ceremony showed the newlyweds smiling alongside family members, reflecting the understated and personal nature of the celebration. The wedding quickly became one of the most talked-about entertainment events of the day, with fans and celebrities across social media congratulating the couple and wishing them a happy married life.
