Ranchi: Jharkhand took a major step towards accelerating industrial and economic growth by signing 14 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹99,639 crore during the valedictory session of the National Stakeholders’ Consultation. The proposed investments are expected to strengthen the state’s industrial base, digital infrastructure and tourism sector.
Jindal Leads with ₹70,000 Crore Investment
The Department of Industries signed the biggest investment agreements with Jindal Steel Ltd., which committed ₹40,000 crore, and Jindal Nuclear Power Pvt. Ltd., which proposed an investment of ₹30,000 crore. The projects are expected to boost industrial development, generate employment and reinforce investor confidence in Jharkhand.

Google Cloud, Wadhwani Group to Drive Digital Growth
To strengthen digital governance, the state entered into strategic partnerships with Google Cloud and the Wadhwani Group. The collaborations will focus on expanding digital infrastructure, improving e-governance and enhancing public service delivery across Jharkhand.
Tourism Sector Gets a Fresh Boost
The government also signed agreements with Tata Motors and EaseMyTrip to promote tourism. While Tata Motors will partner with the state to develop Mining Tourism, EaseMyTrip will support destination promotion and tourism outreach to attract more visitors.
CM Hemant Soren Witnesses MoU Signing
The agreements were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who reiterated the government’s commitment to attracting investments, encouraging innovation and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
The event was also attended by Ministers Deepika Pandey, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Sudivya Kumar and Irfan Ansari, along with Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and Development Commissioner Ajay Kumar Singh. The MoUs were signed by IT Secretary Pooja Singhal, Industries Secretary Arava Rajkamal, Tourism Secretary Mukesh Kumar, and representatives of the participating companies.
