Bokaro: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour, unity and a strong sense of social responsibility as the Snehi Samaj, Bokaro, organised a special ceremony at the Sector-4 ground on Friday.
The celebration witnessed the participation of members of the Snehi Samaj and well-wishers, who gathered to mark the historic occasion and pay tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. The venue echoed with a spirit of patriotism, national pride and togetherness.
The highlight of the programme was the hoisting of the national flag by Shyam Sundar Sah, chief founder of Snehi Samaj. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, members present expressed their respect for the Tricolour and reaffirmed their commitment to the unity, integrity and progress of the nation.
Snehi Samaj President Dinesh Kumar Sah said that Independence Day is not merely an occasion to remember India’s freedom struggle but also a reminder of every citizen’s responsibility towards society and the country. He said the Snehi Samaj has consistently worked to promote unity, social harmony and community welfare.
The organisation, which traces its roots to the early 1970s, has evolved from a small group into a community organisation involved in various social and welfare activities in Bokaro.
