Patanjali claims “Coronil” is a Covid-19 medicine as per WHO scheme

“Coronil” gets a green nod as a Covid-19 management drug

RNS: Patanjali Ayurved’s “Coronil” has now received certification from Ayush ministry as per World Health Organization (WHO) certification scheme, said Patanjali in a statement on Friday.

The “Coronil” is the first evidence-based medicine to fight Covid-19, claimed Patanjali Ayurved. “Coronil” has received the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (CoPP) from the Ayush section of Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation as per the WHO certification scheme, said Patanjali in a statement.

On 23 June 2020, Patanjali had launched “Coronil” when the pandemic was at its peak, but in lack of scientific evidence, it faced extreme criticism. Then the Ministry of Ayush declared it as the Immuno booster.

Now under CoPP, “Coronil” can be exported to 158 countries. Based on the presented data, the ministry has recognised “Coronil” as medicine for “supporting measure in Covid-19”.

“Coronil” will help humanity while providing affordable treatment based on naturopathy, said Baba Swami Ramdev.
