Dhanbad: The Bengali Welfare Society marked National Voluntary Blood Donation Day with a spirited motorcycle rally today, starting from the Hirapur Durga Mandir Ground. Hundreds of participants, dressed in white T-shirts emblazoned with messages promoting blood donation, rallied together to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood.
The rally commenced at Hirapur and made its way to Randhir Verma Chowk, where attendees distributed informative leaflets outlining the critical need for blood donation, all in the presence of Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha.
From Randhir Verma Chowk, the procession continued to City Centre, and then to the CIMFR Gate, Housing Colony, Police Line, and ISM Gate. At each stop, participants handed out leaflets encouraging the community to consider blood donation.
The rally concluded at Big Bazaar, passing through Saraidhela and Steel Gate, where members engaged in a robust campaign promoting blood donation.
Gopal Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Bengali Welfare Society, emphasized the health benefits of donating blood, stating, “Blood donation is safe and good for your health. By donating blood, you not only help avoid potential health issues but also take pride in saving lives.”
Bhattacharya expressed gratitude to the people of Dhanbad for their support and urged everyone to step forward and donate blood, reinforcing the message that every donation can make a significant difference in someone’s life.
