Ranchi: The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a cleanliness drive, poster-making competition, and a visit to a local old age home.
The event, organized by the Gandhian Peace Club and the Center for Peace and Research in Tribal Rights, aimed to promote Gandhi’s values of cleanliness and respect.
Nine posters were created by individual students and teams, focusing on environmental cleanliness and respect for cleaning professionals. Awards for the best posters will be given, with cash prizes of Rs 1,000, Rs 500, and Rs 300.
Following the cleanliness drive, students visited the elderly, sharing songs and learning life lessons. Vice Chancellor Dr. Professor Ashok R. Patil praised the initiative, highlighting the students’ commitment to Gandhi’s principles and community values.
