Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro Hosts Workshop on Adolescent Life Skills & Leadership

Bokaro: Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro recently conducted a four-day workshop for students from Classes 6 to 11, focusing on Adolescent Peer Educators Life Skills and Leadership Program. The initiative, launched by CBSE in collaboration with Expression India, aimed to empower students with essential life skills, promote psychosocial well-being, and foster peer-led learning.

The workshop was inaugurated by School Secretary Mahesh Tripathi and Principal Suraj Sharma in the school auditorium. Students participated with great enthusiasm throughout the program.

Led by resource person Ragini Mishra and trained peer educators, the workshop addressed the many changes adolescents experience—including physical, emotional, intellectual, and social transitions—while encouraging them to develop strong moral values and leadership qualities.

Highlighting the importance of such programs, the school emphasized that understanding the psychosocial needs of adolescents is vital in today’s world. The peer-led format, where students learn and grow together, was a key element of the program’s success.

The workshop unfolded over four sessions, each designed to engage students in interactive and insightful learning, reinforcing the importance of mental health, self-awareness, empathy, and responsible decision-making.
